Wild ARMs Employs New Strategy

According to a recent report, Wild ARMs: The 4th Detonator will allow players to perform actions in the field, much like its predecessors. Players will be able to interact with the environment by sliding through paths and setting bombs with the touch of the action button. However, combat has an added twist. The battlefield will be divided into hex fields, with each field possibly having a certain terrain effect, thus adding a more stategic feel.

Wild ARMs: The 4th Detonator will be released in Japan in Spring of 2005. A North American release has not been announced.
