Square Enix Goes Wireless

It has been announced that the RPG behemoth Square Enix has teamed up with wireless service provider Verizon Wireless to release several games on Verizon's "Get It Now" service. While the exact number of games to be released has not been disclosed, the first one, Brave Shot, is already available.

The release of Brave Shot, a vertical scrolling shooter, marks the first time a Square Enix game has been initially released in North America. Square Enix Ltd. President Yoichi Wada was quoted as saying, "The mobile gaming market presents an enormous opportunity for growth and we are planning to launch several new titles for the Get It Now platform over the course of the next year."
