Konami Obtains Licensing Rights; Ys VI to be Released for Console Worldwide

Konami announced today that it has obtained worldwide licensing rights to the Ys series, allowing the games of the series to be released anywhere. This comes shortly after the news release of Falcom stating that they would be releasing a port of Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim sometime late next year.

The previous release information changed, as the release of Ys VI will now be slated in winter 2004, but will be a worldwide release. The game was originally released in September 2003 for the PC in CD-ROM and DVD-ROM formats.
