Though we haven't seen the first two Front Mission games here in America, we will soon, thanks to a new compilation set from Square Enix. The powerhouse publisher has announced that the compilation Front Mission History is under development in Japan for the Playstation. Front Mission History will be a collection of the first three titles in the series. The release date for Japan hasn't been set yet, but we have learned that both Front Mission 1st and Front Mission 2 will feature new content.
A bonus campaign that reveals many of the secrets surrounding the Second Huffman Conflict will be included with Front Mission 1st. The bonus material in Front Mission 2 is more minor, with a new Short Battle option that will let players get through the game's story at a quicker pace. There have not been any features announced for Front Mission 3 as of yet.
The game will be released in a limit of 20 000 units and boxed with 3 limited edition action figures. Square has had success in the past with re-releaseing games for the PSone and hope to repeat this with Front Mission History.
