Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Director's Cut Ready to Sail

As you may know, alternate versions of games are occasionally released in Japan, but rarely go elsewhere. Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix and Final Fantasy X-2 International are some examples of such games. Another remix game for which no current non-Japanese release plans exist is the "Director's Cut" version of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Among the bigger differences between this Director's Cut and the original will be some new characters that can join the party. The group of new recruits includes Mirage Coast, as well as Claire Larsbert's father, Adlay.

Of course, a few new combatants aren't the only additions the Director's Cut will see. The players will also be able to enter a special battle mode with three characters, one of which must be controlled by the CPU. As may have been expected, this new version of the game is set to include some new dungeons to traverse as well. An underwater garden called Surfelio and the Urza Stone Cave Temple will appear exclusively in the Director's Cut.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Director's Cut is set to arrive in Japanese stores in late December, while the original version should be in North America this February.
