Additional Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu Details
Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu

Square has revealed some additional information about its upcoming Game Boy Advance action RPG Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu through the Japanese publication Nintendo Dream. It was solidified that the game is a remake of the 1991 Game Boy classic Final Fantasy Adventure. However, the company is taking the remake concept and running with it. Besides the core storyline, everything will be completely re-done, including graphics and gameplay.

Given the simplistic nature of the original Seiken Densetsu's battle system, the company will be incorporating the more complex systems used in Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, and Legend of Mana. Such features include the item ring and an enhanced gameplay interface.

It was reported that several characters from previous entries in the series will be making cameo appearances in Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu. Although none of these characters have been mentioned yet, it appears that Legend of Mana's Lil' Cactus will be returning to the Mana universe.

Developer Brownie Brown has promised Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu will have more depth than its previous Game Boy Advance project Magical Vacation. Japanese gamers can look forward to playing the game in the summer of 2003. The game has yet to be announced for release in North America.
