Huge Preorder Bonus for Japanese GC Zelda
This is the coolest promo EVER

Nintendo's GameCube might not have too much in the RPG department right now, but the imminent Japanese release of Legend of Zelda is set to change that in a big way. It was revealed today that when eager Miyamoto-fans preorder the newest installment they will be rewarded with a bonus promo disc.

This, however, is not your father's promo disc. Not only will there be videos for some of Nintendo's upcoming titles (including Legend of Zelda), but it will also contain the full versions of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Ura Zelda, the complete-but-never-released game developed for the ill-fated N64 Disk Drive add-on. Yes, you read that right, the disc will contain the complete versions of the two games. Ura-Zelda was originally conceived as an expansion of Zelda:OoT that would replace the original's dungeons, but it was never released, as the 64DD peripheral tanked. The promo will only be available to the first 100,000 gamers that preorder. (Click on the image below for a larger version. Image courtesy of Planet GameCube).

Rumors are also afloat that a similar promotional campaign will be held in North America as the domestic release of Legend of Zelda for the GameCube draws near, though no official announcement has been made. Whether or not the domestic promo disc will contain the same games is also not yet known. This offer commences in Japan on November 28th, when preoders for Legend of Zelda open. Expect more on this story as it develops.
