As next generation systems like the PlayStation 2 and Xbox grab all of the media attention, Sony's first console endeavor,
the PSone, is still getting an assortment of new releases. One of these is
Inu-Yasha, a new role-playing game from Bandai based on Rumiko
Takahashi's popular manga series of the same name.
With a Japanese release planned before the end of the month, Inu-Yasha follows the title character, a
half-devil/half-human, on a quest to find the shattered pieces of the Jade of the Four Spirits. Set in the time of
Sengoku-Jidai, 1534-1615, the title maps out the story of the original series while adding many narrative
elements of its own.
