Enix Gives Gamers Chance to Name a Town

With the PlayStation re-release of Dragon Quest IV fast approaching, Enix is planning to launch a website dedicated to the game. There will be a twist to the game's internet home, however; it will be fashioned after a typical Dragon Quest town. There's a problem, though; Enix has no name for this town. To resolve this issue, the company is turning to its fans for assistance. From now until November 9th, it's possible to submit names for the 'town' at Enix's Japanese website. The winning entry will be chosen in time for the new site's launch, which will take place one week following the close of the contest.

It is not clear at this point whether the contest is open to participants outside Japan, but the site doesn't explicitly prohibit foreign entry, so it might just be worth a try, if for no other reason than the prize: The winner of the contest will receive a copy of DQ IV signed by Yuji Horii. The game is set for Japanese release on November 22nd.
