Shin Megami Tensei Receives Update
Atlus

Sony's PlayStation has continued to receive major support despite the appearance of its big brother in the gaming arena. This has become more evident with Atlus' recent announcement of their plans to update three classic Super Famicom RPGs for the Sony PlayStation: Shin Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, and Shin Megami Tensei if.... The RPGs will be sold separately and are scheduled to arrive in Spring 2001, Summer 2001, and Fall 2001 respectively. The remakes will feature updated graphics, updated music, a new user interface, and updated storylines.

What, some might ask, is Atlus going to do with the series during the winter months of next year? Atlus has answered that question with an announcement that should make fans of the series quite happy. Shin Megami Tensei III is currently scheduled to arrive on the PlayStation 2 by the end of next year. Though it is doubtful that the remakes will find their way to North American shores, it would not be surprising if Shin Megami Tensei III made its way across the Pacific. Keep reading RPGamer for more information on this series as it arrives.
