In September of 1999, Square released the eighth installment of the Final Fantasy series, with a promise that there would be a PC release in the near future.

    Square kept it's promise, as the release date for FFVIII PC has been confirmed for January 25, 2000. In addition, there will be miscellaneous downloadable items released on the 3rd of January, as well as two new interactive demos on the date of release.
