During the PlayStation Tokyo Game Show conference, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter: World will be released worldwide on January 26, 2018. The date applies to both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, with the PC release set for a later as-yet-unannounced date. Both console versions will receive a Collector's Edition, available worldwide priced at $149.99 and including:

• Physical copy of the game
• 12.5cm Nergigante statue
• 32-page hardcover art book
• Soundtrack (North American press release states that it will a digital code)
• Customisation options such as a sticker set, gestures, and hairstyle (also available as DLC or in the $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition)
