With Gamescom going on this week in Germany, Ubisoft has released a pair of new trailers for the tenth major title in the Assassin's Creed series, the upcoming Assassin's Creed Origins. First up is a cinematic trailer showing off the ancient Egyptian setting that's new for this installment. The second trailer provides a broad overview of the political struggle going on in Egypt between powerful figures such as Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, and the Pharaoh of Egypt, Ptolemy XIII.

Assassin's Creed Origins is an action RPG developed by the team behind Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Set before the other games in the series, Assassin's Creed Origins tells the origin story of the creation of the Assassin Brotherhood. It's also billed as having deep RPG progression mechanics allowing the player to use their preferred abilities and skills against enemies. Assassin's Creed Origins is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One worldwide on October 27, 2017.
