Final Fantasy

Where last week was all Final Fantasy XII, this week is solely focused on Final Fantasy XIV, as I have been attempting to finish off the patch quests between Heavensward and Stormblood. Next week might see more FFXIV and FFXII, but I also have a couple other games that I'm planning on slipping in as well. Time will tell how successful I am.

If you want to catch up on my prior pieces, here's a link to Issue 27 from last week.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood (PS4)

Having decided what to do since my last update, I've made great progress towards my goals since then. I've spent the past week playing around with lots of jobs to supplement my Ninja, but only Samurai and Dragoon have stuck. Dark Knight was fun, but I don't know if I have the willpower to grind another tank job from level 30 to 70. Machinist was fun for a bit, but I have no drive to get AF gear for this job, so it's a hard sell to put that much effort into this. Samurai beat out Red Mage for now due to my love for close up melee combat, but I'm not ruling Red Mage out down the road. Finally, my love for Dragoons has me wanting to get into the job specific AF gear for it so badly. On top of that, Estinien, the Azure Dragoon, has been such a great character in the story that he's part of my inspiration to level up the job as well.

Outside of jobs, I've almost finished up all of the patch content for Heavensward, which has been great. I've loved the story, dungeons, and the one trial that I've fought, and I look forward to more as I wrap up the pre-show. Stormblood is just around the corner, and I cannot wait to dive in. AF3 job gear is also awaiting me at level 70, so that's even more exciting. I do love playing dress up. It shouldn't be too much longer now.
