Divinity: Original Sin II

Larian Studios has made another announcement regarding Divinity: Original Sin II. The information reveals new game mechanics and functionality to be added to the game, including skill crafting and runes. Controller support will also be available when the game launches, including splitscreen and drop-in gameplay.

Skill crafting in Original Sin II involves mixing two skill books, one elemental and one non-elemental, to produce a different skill book. Possible recipes include combining a Water and Necromancy skill book to make a Blood Rain skill book or combining Fire and Necromancy to make Corpse Explosion. Runes will also be available in the final game, allowing players to affix runes to socketed items in order to improve them. Runes can be found, offered as rewards, or crafted by the player.

Divinity: Original Sin II will release on September 14, 2017, on PC. The game is currently in Early Access on Steam.
