Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia held its annual pre-TGS press conference today, showcasing various upcoming PlayStation releases. After beginning with a sizzle reel of key upcoming games, the presentation moved onto the new slim version of the PlayStation 4, which will receive special designs based on Persona 5 and Final Fantasy XV in Japan, though neither game received any additional focus during the presentation.

After this the PlayStation Vita title SaGa: Scarlet Grace made an appearance, confirming that it will make its planned 2016 release period with a December 15, 2016, launch in Japan. One release that will not make 2016, however, is Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue. The Japanese trailer shown gave a release date of January 12, 2017, with a new English trailer released immediately after revealing a western release date on January 24, 2017. To round off the batch of Square Enix titles, NieR: Automata received a new trailer, revealing its Japanese release date of February 23, 2017.

Koei Tecmo was the next publisher to provide RPG-related news, by revealing that Nioh will be released worldwide on February 9, 2017. It also announced Musou Stars, a new game in the vein of its Dynasty Warriors series, starring various characters from Koei Tecmo's other series. Appearing in the announcement video were characters from Toukiden and Atelier Sophie.

The presentation then moved on to the PlayStation VR and various releases and features coming to that. However, it returned to show one last RPG with Cygames and Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link. Here it revealed that Project Re: Link will be released for PlayStation 4 in 2018, with the company also planning a release for PlayStation VR.

The relevant trailers for the above games can be viewed below. Those interested can also view the full conference with an English translation of the on-stage elements or with the full Japanese audio (the English version is missing a few minutes of footage at the 31:15 mark).
