Nintendo has shared the fifth video in its "Discover" series for Square Enix's Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, the 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VII. The video covers The Haven, an in-game island that serves as a hub for corralling reformed monsters.
As per the request of the The Haven's initial occupant Carey, players will be charged with bringing reformed monsters to live in peace on the island. These monsters are found throughout the game disguised as humans, but can be told apart by strange behaviour. If a monster can be brought to the island, it will offer up a Traveler's Tablet that will unlock a dungeon based around that monster. As more and more monsters move to the island, buildings will begin to pop up as well. These buildings can have unique functions, like connecting to the game's online functionality or unlocking the hidden casino. The Haven will also house the plinth, a device that teleports the characters to new dungeons.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past will arrive for 3DS on September 16, 2016.
