Acquire released the next two Japanese character trailers for Akiba's Beat, following the one released for its main protagonist earlier in the month. The two new videos can be viewed below and focus on Riyu Momose and Yamato Hongo respectively.
Riyu is a 14-year-old idol, known to her fans as Rippyon. She is based in Akibahara and doing mini-concerts and meet-and-greets around the time the game begins. Meanwhile, Yatamo is a 16-year-old high schooler who supposedly looks younger than he is. Despite living in Akibahara, he says that he has no interest in its culture. Like the protagonist, both end up getting encountering the embodiment of a delusion that is causing the city, and the passage of time, to be eroded.
Akiba's Beat is the first RPG in Acquire's Akiba series. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan by Acquire later this year, with XSEED Games also planning to release the game in North America on the same platforms.
