Atlus USA announced the company will be releasing a demo for The Legend of Legacy. Available from the Nintendo eShop, the demo will feature the prologue for the game as well as the first two dungeons. Players will have the option of carrying their demo progress over to the full game when it releases. The demo releases on the North American eShop September 22, 2015 while the full game arrives on October 13, 2015.

A new trailer also dropped, highlighting three more playable characters. Owen is a mercenary who uses a variety of weapons in combat. Eloise is described as a young woman searching for eternal youth, with her alchemist role resulting in her being equipped with many useable items.,   Filmia is the Frog Prince, looking for his lost kingdom, and water and deception-based magic.
