Independent developer Witching Hour Studios' newest title is Masquerada: Songs and Shadows, with the game making an appearance at this year's PAX Prime in Seattle. The game is an isometric RPG with pauseable combat in a similar vein to Dragon Age and is planned to be released in spring 2016 for PC and Mac, with an unspecified console version also planned.
Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is set in the Ombre, which is inspired by Venice, Italy. Ancient masks allow a priviledged few access to magical powers. During the game a civil war rages between the elite Masquerada and working-class Contadori, with fey creatures beginning to mysteriously appear throughout the city. The game features English voice acting from the likes of Matthew Mercer (Chrom in Fire Emblem: Awakening), Jennifer Hale (Shepard in Mass Effect), Dave Fennoy (Lee Everett in The Walking Dead), and more.
