Some more Japanese coverage of Nihon Falcom's Tokyo Xanadu introduces a couple of new characters and some gameplay aspects for the title. The new information also comes with a fresh batch of screenshots, which can be found below.

First we have Goro Saeki, Morimiya Academy's English teacher who boasts good looks as well as intelligence, making him rather popular amongst his students. The other character is a mysterious being named Lem, it is unclear if Lem is even human having appeared suddenly from the Other World. Although primarily appearing to take the role of bystander, Lem does offer assistance to main protagonist Kou at times.

Exploring the Other World is an important part of Tokyo Xanadu and the characters' Xiphones play an important role in that with a special search app. Kou has a number of part-time jobs and players can explore the city while heading to them, trying to find undiscovered gates to the Other World. The Xiphone app indicates when a gate is nearby, with a percentage counter increasing as players get closer to the gate's location. Kou also has three attributes — wisdom, courage, and compassion — that increase as the game goes on after achieving various conditions. The attributes can helps Kou level up, earn special items, will trigger events, as well as having an effect on the game's story.

Tokyo Xanadu is due to be released exclusively for PlayStation Vita in Japan on September 30, 2015. No announcement has been made regarding a western release.
