A new Dragon Quest spin-off has been announced with the title Dragon Quest Builders. Apparently inspired by Minecraft, Dragon Quest Builders features a world made up of blocks that players can use for their creations. The game's world is named Alefgard, which players are tasked with rebuilding following its destruction by the Dragon King.

Dragon Quest Builders will be released in Japan in winter 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. There is no official media available at this stage outside of a teaser website.
