Germany-based publisher bitComposer Games has announced its plans for the upcoming release of Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms following feedback from the game's Early Access period on Steam. The game, which is being developed by Slovakia-based company Games Farm, will now be released in two parts. The first part, Book I: Devourer of Souls will be released in the originally planned release period of November 2014, while the second, Book II: Age of Demons, is planned to arrive in February 2015.

The two books will be sold together, and those who buy the game on Steam's Early Access program will receive both parts for $27.99/€27.99/£22.99. All Early Access supporters of Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms will also receive a free copy of the upcoming Steam port of Kult: Heretic Kingdoms, the game's predecessor originally released in North America in 2005 as Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition, when it becomes available.
