XSEED Games has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky will be released on PC via GOG and Steam on July 29, 2014. The game will be available for $19.99, with a 15% discount on that price applied for the first week after release. XSEED Games also released a PC launch trailer for the game, which can be viewed below. The PC version includes support for high resolutions and customisable controls, and includes all major features from the original PSP version at launch, except for the Monster Guide, which will be patched in soon after.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky was previously released on PSP in North America and Europe in 2011 and was well received by RPGamer staff, winning Best PSP Game and Best Story of the Year. The game's sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter, is due to be released this winter on both PC and PSP (with Vita-compatibility).
