Video game companies are apparently quite fond of announcing their announcements ahead of time, and Square Enix is no exception. Not content with merely sending out a press release, the company has put up a small teaser site.

This site announces that the next stage of the "Lightning Saga" which includes both Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be presented in Tokyo on September 1. The teaser site makes it clear that the story of FF XIII-2 is complete, so this is likely to be an announcement of an entirely new game, rather than just DLC content for a previous one.
