Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Announced for the 3DS

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy

Many new games were unveiled during Nintendo's pre-TGS conference, and one that is of particular interest to RPGamers is Sqaure Enix's new Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. While its awkward title isn't very informative, Bravely Default looks to be the spiritual successor to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. Much like that game, Bravely Default features the art of Akihiko Yoshida and game mechanics inspired by older Final Fantasy titles. The game will also use AR cards in some way, though how they will factor into the game is still unclear. Bravely Default will be released sometime in 2012 and has not yet been announced for a Western release.

Along with the announcement, Square Enix has put up a new teaser site for Bravely Default. It doesn't contain much yet, but does show off some art, music, and a trailer for the game. Trailers can also be found at the official Nintendo 3DS Conference site.
