Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny has only had a vague Fall 2011 release date for several months now, but that has finally changed. Natsume has announced that both the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation 3 versions of the oceanic action/farming RPG will arrive in North America on September 27.

This is the second entry in the Rune Factory series to appear on home consoles. Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny features the series' distinct combination of farming and dungeon exploration, but is set in a vast ocean full of islands. The main characters Aden and Sonja will need to uncover and explore these islands with their giant golem companion Ymir in order to unravel the curse that is forcing the two of them to share the same body.
