The downloadable content for Dragon Age: Origins may have received mixed reviews, but BioWare has stated that it learned some valuable lessons from that experience in DLC development. Players will soon be able to see for themselves, as the first DLC for Dragon Age II, titled Legacy, has just been announced.
The Legacy DLC will be playable at any point during the Dragon Age II campaign. It promises to reveal the "harsh truth" about the Hawke family legacy, as Hawke leaves the confines of Kirkwall to hunt down a criminal cartel. While exploring locations such as a Grey Warden prison, Hawke will encounter new Darkspawn and have the opportunity to obtain a powerful class-specific weapon.
Dragon Age II: Legacy will launch on July 26. It will cost $9.99 on PlayStation 3 or 800 BioWare/Microsoft bogusbucks on the other platforms.
