At the Gearbox panel at PAX, Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford announced a level cap raise and additional tweaks for the gun-loaded RPG-shooter hybrid Borderlands. Unlike other DLC released for Borderlands, this DLC will be available for the low cost of zero dollars.

The patch, scheduled for a Fall release, will see the level cap for any player raised by eight levels, regardless of DLC purchased. Those who already own the The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC will see the level cap raise to 69. The panel at PAX also announced a September 28 release date for the Claptrap's New Robot Revolution DLC announced in March 2010.
