It's true, the original DeathSpank was just released last month. Apparently Hothead Games was developing the sequel, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue concurrently with the first game, and promises a release date of Sept. 21 for the PlayStation Network and Sept. 22 on Xbox Live. Like the first game, it will cost $15 or 1200 Microsoft Points.

Thongs of Virtue picks up where the original game left off, pitting DeathSpank against mighty bosses who are equipped with the titular thongs. It will be 50% larger than the original game and promises more variety in sidequests. It also introduces guns, flamethrowers, and other new weapons. Finally, it boasts improved local co-op, in which a second player can choose to reprise their role as Sparkles the Wizard or become DeathSpank's new part-ninja partner, Steve.
