It looks as though the market for RPGs is going strong in Japan. Famitsu's list of the top 100 best-selling games in Japan for the first half of 2010 is out. Although New Super Mario Brothers Wii topped the charts, it was quickly followed by a crowd of RPGs near the top of the list. In fact, 33 out of the 100 top-selling games were RPGs. The list reflects the continued trend of Japanese gaming audiences turning away from home consoles towards portable devices, where RPGs have flourished.
