A few days ago, Destructoid reported that the PC version of Borderlands had been delayed, though thankfully not into 2010. Gearbox employees confirmed via twitter that the title is coming to Steam and that the PC version will contain extra bonuses that its console counterparts will not be receiving.

While the game boasts a wide variety of weapons, the PC version will include one special weapon, though not much details were provided. Additionally, the PC version comes with timedemo benchmark software.

Borderlands is set to release on October 20 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Although the PC version has been delayed, no official date has been announced.
