Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures was honored with the "Best Online Game of the Show" award at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany earlier this weekend. It competed with titles such as Warhammer Online, Hellgate: London, and Unreal Tournament 3 as well as many others across all genres and consoles. The winner was decided by the press at the event.

"This is a great honor to everyone working on 'Age of Conan'," says Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. "These awards really show that our massive efforts are paying off and that the public, the press and the industry are recognizing the very strong qualities of the game."

At Leipzig, Funcom unveiled two new features of the game: siege warfare and mini-games. The Games Convention is the biggest venue for video games in Europe and contends with E3 and TGS for biggest in the world.
