Players eager for some demon slaying in the streets of London only have a little longer to wait. Electronic Arts and Namco Bandai announced this week that Hellgate: London will be heading to North American stores on October 31 and to Europe on November 2.
"We wanted to hit the sweet-spot for release in terms of the development schedule and delivering the highest-quality game to our players," said CEO of Flagship Studios, Bill Roper. "Halloween was the perfect fit as it ensures that Hellgate: London will have an appropriate amount of beta testing, while also being an incredibly fun time to unleash the game."
Hellgate: London combines traditional RPG elements with the action-oriented style of first-person shooters. The game boasts of "dynamically generated levels, items, enemies, and events" as well as an immersive, story-based campaign. It also allows for a high degree of character and ability customization. Mulitplayer options will be available for free online, while a subscription service will allow access to additional content such as new quests, classes, enemies, and items.
