Konami Digital Entertainment America has opened the official website for its Nintendo DS action RPG, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. The website contains screenshots, videos, story information, and a new release date for the title.

The game takes place in 2036, a year after the events of Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, and features the return of protagonist Soma Cruz. In Dawn of Sorrow, Soma seeks to stop a cult from assassinating him and enabling the resurrection of Dracula in the process. To put an end to their plans, Soma invades their headquarters: a full-size replica of Dracula's Castle. The game brings back Aria of Sorrow's soul collecting system while introducing other new gameplay features, such as magical seals that players can use by drawing symbols on the DS touch screen.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow will ship to North American retailers on October 4th, 2005.
