A little over a year after Square Enix first hinted at The World of Mana, the world was treated to the first official details regarding what are now multiple new entries into the series during the last day of the Square Enix Party 2005 yesterday in Tokyo.

As mentioned previously, it was announced yesterday that The World of Mana will span across multiple titles, as well as multiple genres and platforms. Details surrounding the actual game were scarce; thus far, all that is known is that the game will focus on the Mana Tree and the Holy Sword (the "Seiken"). Also, as if it wasn't already apparent by the art that was released some time back, the developers plan to incorporate soft backgrounds and personable characters into the mix.

As of yet, it is unknown which platforms The World of Mana has its sights set on. Square Enix has said that new developments in the project are to take place soon, so keep your eyes peeled for any new developments.
