According to the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly, Japanese gamers won't have to wait too much longer to get their hands on the PlayStation 2 incarnation of Square Enix's latest polymorphic concept brand. Code Age Commanders has been promised to grace Japanese retailers on October 13. An official announcement concerning the game's North American localization has not yet been announced, but the title was featured in trailer form at Square Enix's booth during E3 in May, which makes a North American release seem very likely.
Much like the Fullmetal Alchemist and Final Fantasy VII brands, the Code Age brand spans many different forms of media, from anime, to manga, to video games.
Code Age Commanders is an action RPG, and features the protagonist Gene as he ventures to find his sister, Aliz, after they get separated following a failed attempt to escape an impending apocalypse caused every ten thousand years by something known as the "Central Code."
