NCsoft Looks to Europe

NCsoft Corporation has announced plans to enter the multibillion-dollar European online game market via the creation of NCsoft Europe, a wholly-owned subsidiary company. With this, NCsoft, already an established presence in North America, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Thailand, moves a step closer to constructing a global network for online game services.

The London-based subsidiary will be headed by Geoffrey Heath. "NCsoft is a business that has captured the imagination of gamers across Asian and US markets. Europe is the next step for the company as it grows a global online games network," said Heath, who has a history of building businesses in Europe.

NCsoft plans to service Lineage II and City of Heroes in Europe by the end of 2004. New games will follow, with a goal of establishing the company as the leading online game company in the European region by 2005.
