Onisoft Reveals Details on Their Inaugural Game
07.09.2004

Onisoft, a budding video game company, has announced a few details regarding their inaugural game, Fate of Ages. The battle system is said to be a mix of real-time and turn-based combat. Each character will have a certain elemental affiliation, but how this will affect gameplay has yet to be announced. It has been announced, however, that this does not limit the character to certain types of attacks, as there are different classes for each character. Over 40 different job classes will be ripe for the picking, but it is not known whether certain characters will be limited to certain classes or not. Regardless, expect a lot of customization.

Graphically, the game will be cell-shaded and "Japanese-styled." On the story side of things, details thus far are few and far between, though it has been mentioned that you will play through 6 different time periods as Finn, the hero of the story, and his companions seek to undo the mistakes of the past.

The developers at the Onisoft message forums have said that they're expecting to release Fate of Ages for the X-Box, and perhaps the Playstation 2 or Gamecube, at the end of 2005, but this is certainly not set in stone. Expect more information on this game soon.
