Level 5 Tells Truth About True Fantasy Live Online

Level 5 recently came clean about available classes and the customizability of characters in its upcoming Xbox MMORPG True Fantasy Live Online.

First of all, Level 5 does not intend to skimp on the character customization. In TFLO, players will be able to choose their characters' facial features, right down to the eyes, nose, mouth, and eyebrows. They will also be allowed to choose the character's hair color and hairstyle, and configure the height and weight of the character to develop a particular kind of physique. Players will also be prompted to choose a race for their characters; naturally, race affects the kind of stats a particular character will have. The known available races consist of the traditional fare: human, elf, and dwarf. There are still two more unknown races, and Level 5 has persisted in keeping them under wraps.

A wide variety of classes will be offered to players. The more daring may choose to become a warrior, a magician, a hunter, or perhaps an adventurer. Classes such as chef, blacksmith, bard, tailor, alchemist, and carpenter may appeal to the more industrious players. Depending on what class one selects, related subclasses will become available. For example, someone who sets out as a warrior will be given the option to become a fencer.

With True Fantasy Live Online entering beta testing after the Tokyo Game Show, the game should be released in Japan sometime later this year. A North American release is inevitable, but an estimated date has not been given.
