Nintendo Uncorks Three New Titles, Rewards Program

At Nintendo's recent news conference in Japan, three new titles were announced for the GameCube, including one that will be of immense interest to RPGamers. Alongside a GameCube version of Wario Ware, Inc. and a Donkey Kong title to be developed by Namco, Nintendo has confirmed what has been hinted at since E3 - a new Legend of Zelda title is in the works for the GameCube.

Nintendo is already plugging away at a new Game Boy Advance effort in the series, which suggests some connectivity features might be introduced between the two, if recent efforts are any indication. The company has also introduced a new rewards scheme, which will be launched in both North America and Japan, which will allow Nintendo gamers to collect points towards free items. President Satoru Iwata hopes to have 300,000 - 500,000 users sign up for the program in its first year.

No information regarding the new Zelda title has been made available as yet. RPGamer will continue to follow this story and provide further information as it becomes available.
