Nintendo has announced that it is planning to release a Fire Emblem title for the GameCube. This comes only a short time after the release of Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken, the GBA installment that hit Japanese shelves in April.

Neither Intelligent Systems (the game's developer) nor Nintendo confirmed anything more than the game's existence. No Fire Emblem game has ever made its way to North America, so avid importers will most likely have to go through the usual routine in order to snag this title.
