Bethesda Softworks has announced an expansion pack for its highly popular RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Entitled Tribunal, the expansion adds to the already huge world of Morrowind, introducing new monsters, characters, dungeons and cities.
In Tribunal, a ruthless new king has taken the throne of Morrowind, while an
aging god drifts deeper into madness. Into this chaos players are thrust, with
deadly assassins close behind and Morrowind's uncertain future ahead.
The journey will lead gamers to Mournhold, capital city of Morrowind, to the
Clockwork City of Sotha Sil, and through massive, epic-sized dungeons.
"In Morrowind you get to meet Vivec, but he is just one member of the ruling
Tribunal," said Todd Howard, Project Leader. "We've always wanted to take
you on an adventure to Mournhold to meet the other two god-kings, Almalexia
and Sotha Sil. It's an awesome city, and the quests there are some of the
best yet."
Many new creatures are introduced in Tribunal, including goblins, lich
lords, and the mysterious Fabricants. Powerful new armor and weapons will
become available, and adventures will be documented in the
improved journal system and an annotatable map.
The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal is scheduled for release this November for
PC. It will be distributed in North America by Bethesda Softworks, and in
Europe by Ubi Soft Entertainment. No Xbox version has been announced at this time. For more infromation about Morrowind, read RPGamer's review.
