Grandia Xtreme Finds Its Voice(s)

The latest entry into the Grandia series, Grandia Xtreme, will be voiced by a high-profile cast, according to a press release from Enix today. Dean Cain will provide the voice of the hero, Evann, and Lisa Loeb will voice the heroine Lutina. The voice of the evil Colonel Kroitz will be none other than Mark Hamil.

Hamil, best known as Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars films, has also provided excellent voice-work, most notably as the maniacal Joker on the animated Batman series. Dean Cain portrayed Superman on TV's Adventures of Lois & Clark, and singer Loeb was recently tapped to provide voices for MTV's upcoming animated Spiderman series.

"We are extremely pleased to have Mark Hamill, Dean Cain, and Lisa Loeb as integral members of the Grandia Xtreme team and are thrilled with the work they have accomplished," said Paul Handelman, president of Enix America. "Consumers today demand a total experience from their favorite games and utilizing the talents of such accomplished professionals increases the quality of the gaming experience and brings the characters to life in an exciting new way." Grandia Xtreme is set to be released in September. In the meantime, be sure to peruse all of RPGamer's Grandia Xtreme coverage here, as well as our Preview of the game.
