Interplay has announced that Icewind Dale II, the sequel to 2000's popular Icewind Dale, has gone gold. For the unfamiliar, going 'gold' means that the game has been completed, and is going to ship to retail after being prepared. In the case of Icewind Dale II, this means Interplay will have about a month to prepare the game; the title is set to ship early in September.
