Dokapon Rock, Paper, and Scissors Its Way Onto the GameCube

The cheerful Game Boy Advance title Dokapon will soon have a big brother to look up to, as Asmik Ace Entertainment has announced a GameCube sequel to the title. Entitled Dokapon DX, the game will combine the rock-paper-scissors battle system of the original with map design inspired by board games. Also returning from the Game Boy Advance title will be the roulette system, where items found on the map are randomly generated by spinning a roulette wheel of sorts.

New for the GameCube version of the game will be a multiplayer option; Asmik is billing Dokapon DX as playable by one to four players, which should add a whole new dimension to the board game aspect of gameplay. Currently, the title is slated for Japanese release in October. No North American localization has yet been announced.
