Another Serving Of Tales Info: Leftovers Version

With Namco in the midst of its Tales development blitz, more information continues to emerge on each of the five titles under development. Some of the information, in fact, has been sitting around since Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2 was first announced several months ago. ToW: ND2 is the second game in the Game Boy incarnation of Namco's Tales series, and is the successor to a strong Game Boy Color title. Gameplay in the portable titles is centred around dungeon-crawling, and features multiple storyline possibilities; ultimately, however, the player's goal is to save the world.

This task is facilitated by what characters wear; in all, there are over 150 costumes, ranging from warrior to mage to a combination of the two. This is possible because clothing can be combined, resulting in some multi-talented, multi-tasking individuals with extensive monster-wrecking abilities on the side. Parties have several members, and characters from previous Tales games will make an appearance in this entry, a few of whom are even able to join the player's party.

ToW: ND2 is currently on pace for an October release in Japan. Since Namco is currently unleashing a Tales blitz on the world, it is not out of the realm of possibility that the game will make it to North America.
