Blizzard Entertainment has scored their sixth million selling title, as Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, which continues its ride atop PC sales charts, recently broke the mark. The title captured 17.7% of the entire PC market in its first week, and is sitting at number one on most sales charts in North America, Europe, and Asia. As it stands, that also makes the game the sixth Blizzard title to top sales charts. This success has prompted Blizzard to ship a total of two million copies of the title worldwide, to ensure that the high demand for the game is met. According to Bob McKenzie, director of merchandising for Babbages, Software Etc. & GameStop.com, "Sales of the expansion have rivaled those of the Diablo II and based on our experiences with the previous Diablo products, we expect Diablo II: Lord of Destruction to remain a top seller throughout the year."

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction continues the quest to vanquish the three prime evils started in Diablo II. Interestingly, the original title remains a big seller, placing fourth on charts this week.
