Dark Age of Camelot Logo

Vivendi Universal Publishing and Mythic Entertainment have announced that they have signed a distribution deal for Dark Age of Camelot's North American release. This deal gives Vivendi the rights to "market, manufacture, and distribute" the massively-multiplayer online RPG for a fall 2001 release.

Dark Age of Camelot is a fantasy MMORPG which is entrenched in Arthurian, Norse, and Celtic mythologies. The game rewards players for team - based actions, and is meant to cut down on "player - killing" which is often a bane of the majority of online games. There will also be a variety of classes and races for players to choose.

Vivendi Universal Publishing is an universal publisher of a variety of entertainment mediums including books, music, educational tools, and health information. In addition, they own Sierra Studios and Blizzard Entertainment which are both strong game developers. Additional details about Dark Age of Camelot can be accessed at the Official Dark Age of Camelot site.
