Networkable Pokémon Title to Hit Japan

Nintendo is planning a Japanese release of an adapter allowing Game Boy Color systems to be networked through cellular phones. This adapter will allow for long-distance multiplayer titles to be developed for the longest living console ever made. To kick off the launch of this new accessory, Nintendo is releasing yet another addition to their highly profitable series, Pokémon.

The new title, dubbed Pokémon X, will allow players to engage in multiplayer combat, and trade Pokémon just like one could with a gamelink cable in the original game. Although the game has yet to be announced for a North American release, Pokémon X should be available in Japan in time for Christmas.
